more FOTC.

Very simple post here. A lot of my friends are starting to fall for Flight of the Conchords, but this is probably one of my favorites that no one's seen just yet.

Bret was feeling a little down about the ladies, and needed Jemaine to cheer him up, but given the crazy intense fans they have, I don't think either of 'em really need it.

Guillemots make me happy

I'm a huge fan of the "Concerts A Emporter" that LaBlogotheque does.

As I understand it, this lovely little collective of video bloggers takes bands that come to perform in Paris out into the city for "take away shows". Most of them are very good.

But my favorite would have to be Guillemots doing Annie Let's Not Wait. There's something about both the quality of the performance the shooting in the video that make me wish this were the official music video for the song. Fyfe Dangerfield has wonderful pitch and charm in this particular video. Great song to begin with his presence in the video just makes the song that much happier, and Paris in the background doesn't hurt earlier.

How can you not love a song so hopeful?

Silver Lining, Rilo Kiley, nuff said

For the people in the world who haven't seen Rilo Kiley's latest video or heard the tune. I approve of it wholeheartedly, but I never expected not to.

I like comparing it with the video for the Frug, which is a bit older. You can hear that it's a little more grown up, and Jenny Lewis has polished a bit more.

A little Architecture in Helsinki

Ah friends... I've spent a glorious weekend at ye olde Lakehouse in Deep Creek MD with the high school crew. Good times, but that doesn't mean I didn't youtube -- that's the times we're living in, a girl can youtube even on vacation.

But as I came home and found myself craving a little Architecture in Helsinki. These guys are the bee's knees.

First up, here's the video for Heart It Races. I love this song because not only are the lyrics beautiful, but the video has a really great little story to it that brings a big smile to my face and a feeling of joy to my chest. Make sure you pay attention to the intro, that'll enhance your appreciation...

And then for bonus points and those craving a little more... I give you the video for Do the Whirlwind. It's a happy little song that everyone can appreciate.
